Energy Markets – Green Transition

With growing demand for customer insights and social innovation towards creating a sustainable energy future, GECO Global ApS wishes to strengthen its capabilities in this area.

  • Synthesizing quantitative and qualitative findings into both complex models and analysis to uncover insights that drive our knowledge in the field.
  • Designing concrete activities and strategies to engage all actors of the energy value chain.
  • Producing both thorough high-quality reports and concise, easy-to-understand written and visual deliverables.
  • Verbally communicate findings to a wide variety of internal and external audiences.
  • Defining concept validation strategies
  • International travel will be required

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is:

  • A degree in psychology, sociology, philosophy or anthropology.
  • Preferably, you have worked in areas related to energy and/or consumer insights.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills (running crosstabs, segmentation and cluster analysis). Experienced working with SPSS, R, or MATLAB.
  • Experience structuring primary research (e.g. moderating focus groups, designing surveys, one-on-one interviews) with various stakeholder groups.
  • You easily decipher the big picture and can communicate and describe it in simple terms.
  • Comfortable with dealing with numbers and technical descriptions.
  • Ability to manage large initiatives with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Professional knowledge of other languages also an advantage.

About us:

GECO Global is a research and advisory consultancy dedicated to stakeholder engagement and science communication in the energy industry. The transition to a more sustainable energy system requires a fundamentally new approach to engage stakeholders to be an integral part of the energy value chain. For instance, the customer is no longer just a recipient and user of energy, but also a potential producer, storage provider and flexibility agent. We therefore focus on facilitating the energy transition by placing consumers at the heart of the future energy systems. However, with technical and complex solutions at its heart, the energy industry has not always been very appealing for the end customer and in this respect GECO Global has specialized in understanding what drives engagement and participation and in implementing engagement strategies. GECO Global works both directly with utilities and other actors in the energy industry and through research with both national and international bodies. GECO Global is a young company established in 2018, has its HQ in Denmark and an office in Helsinki. The company language is English.
